9. Al Yafour Mobile Application
This section covers our internal employee mobile application ("the App"), available to authorized Al Yafour employees only and requiring sign-in with a company account.
Data the App collects:
• Account & profile: name, employee ID, work email, phone number, and role.
• Location — including in the background: the App collects your device's precise location, INCLUDING while the App is closed or not in use, solely to detect arrival at and departure from Al Yafour office locations for attendance verification. We record office entry/exit events only — not a continuous history of your movements.
• Bluetooth and beacon signals: to confirm presence at the office when you clock in or out.
• Device information: a device identifier and a push-notification token.
• Photos and files: only when you attach them to an HR, expense, or purchase request.
• Microphone/audio: only when you use voice input in the in-app assistant.
• Biometrics: your device's fingerprint or face unlock may be used to secure access to the App; it is processed by your device and is not transmitted to us.
How we use it: to provide attendance, HR and operational features, verify presence at work, send notifications, and secure your account. We do not use App data for advertising and we do not sell it.
Sharing: App data is processed on Al Yafour's own systems and by service providers that host our servers and deliver notifications, under confidentiality obligations. We do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
Your choices: permissions (including location) are requested with your consent and can be managed in your device settings; disabling them limits related features. You may request access to, correction, or deletion of your data through the HR department.
10. Data Deletion Requests
To request deletion of your personal data in the Al Yafour app, contact the Company's HR department, or email it@alyafour.com, with your name and employee number. After we verify the request, we delete or anonymize your personal data (profile, contact details, attendance and location records, and documents), except records we are legally required to keep under UAE law (such as payroll and end-of-service records), which are retained for the legally mandated period and then deleted.
